Your cell service sucks. It’s that simple. Here is what I experience on a daily basis:

1. Calls appearing to go out but not being picked up or going through to the intended caller.
2. Calls repeatedly dropped during a phone call.
3. Texts not being delivered or received in a timely manner.
4. The inability to call out.

I have been an at&t wireless customer since the late 90’s. This means I have seen your company go from at&t wireless to Cingular and back to at&t wireless and have never left your service during these changes. Over this time, I’ve been frustrated but never to this extreme. I would cancel your service in a heartbeat but I’m locked in a contract.

Here’s the plan…. I will retweet this post when these offenses occur. Right now, I estimate this message will get retweeted and reposted to Facebook somewhere between five to seven times daily.

Try this out:

On your way home from work, stop at your pharmacy and go to the thermometer section and purchase a rectal thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson.

Be very sure you get this brand. When you get home, lock your doors, draw the curtains and disconnect the phone so you will not be disturbed.

Change into very comfortable clothing and sit in your favorite chair. Open the package and remove the thermometer.

Now the fun part begins.

Now, carefully place it on a table or a surface so that it will not become chipped or broken.

Take out the literature from the box and read it carefully.

You will notice that in small print there is a statement:

“Every Rectal Thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson is personally tested and then sanitized.”

Now, close your eyes and repeat out loud five times, ‘ I am so glad I do not work in the thermometer quality control department at Johnson & Johnson.’

HAVE A NICE DAY; AND REMEMBER, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSE WITH A JOB THAT IS MORE OF A PAIN IN THE ARSE THAN YOURS!

I ran across a tweet from @ryan_rose this morning that caught my attention. He referred to the 10% unemployment rate and how the “repubs” will spin some negative BS. It wasn’t so much that part, it was the next sentence of “I’m sure we should cut taxes on their buds”.

My automatic response to this was “YES, WE NEED TO CUT TAXES!!!“. By lowering taxes on small and medium sized business, we will enable business to grow and flourish.

We all have our opinions but I guess the one thing that bugs me is the automatic “pigeon-holing” that we all do. To automatically label someone (red or blue / republican or democrat / genius or idiot) because they don’t share one of your values is ludicrous.

As far as I’m concerned, the thought that anyone is willing to accept higher taxes so we can support people who should be supporting themselves is insane! Or the thought that we need to raise taxes because the government can’t balance a checkbook to save their lives. I’m not going to make the assumption that he’s a fascist, just misguided.

So, @ryan_rose,just because I’m very much in favor of being fiscally conservative, pro small business, and a big fan of social darwinism… doesn’t make me a cousin of Glen Beck. I’m not that extreme.

I’ve enjoyed our conversation today and look forward to them in the future. It’s fun to debate with people who have different views because it’s what keeps us all sharp. Take care and have a great weekend.

Apparently President Obama was asked about the whole Kanye West / Taylor Swift debacle and commented during an “off the record” moment at a CNBC interview that Kanye was a “jack-ass”. Normally I wouldn’t even waste my time bringing up any thing from the world of pop but I feel this one is important.

As reported by Foxnews, some reporters from ABC took that and ran with it on Twitter. Here’s what is the result:

In ABC’s response to this, they state “This was done before our editorial process had been completed”. We all know the major news outlets edit their stories. But how much do they censor their reporters?

So I’ve been back from Seattle for about five months. I’ve got to say I miss my Seattle SBUX for a few simple reasons. The first reason is that I had my favorite Starbucks right next door. I could go get coffee whenever I wanted. I could get as many free refills as I wanted because I had one of their registered cards. The second biggest reason is they rarely, rarely told me that they were out of whatever blend they were pouring. Since I’ve been back to the Tri-Cities, I’ve been told more times in five months than in the past five years that there wasn’t enough coffee brewed and that I’d have to wait. Secondly, no barista in their right mind would have said “hey, I could just top off that venti with the other coffee we have”. Ugh. Hey… I just needed to vent for a second.
